I'd like to add, nobody seems to notice the loose jam on the Clementine theme in some 72 shows. I think it only came up in Europe. Listen to Hundred Year Hall (4/26/72), somewhere 25-30 minutes in there Phil plays his old Clementine riff, and they develop a full jam on the theme for a few minutes, the best example of such 72 "Clementine Jams."

I can't remember offhand which shows Phil plays the theme on bass, but I think 4/11 might be one of them as well. 4/29 may be another one. I know there's a couple.

True, Phil starts it up at 18:30 into the HYH Other One, and it goes for a couple minutes. I never noticed it before, perhaps because it's not the main Clementine riff, but one of the secondary riffs, one that's heard prominently in the 10/30/68 Clementine.
Phil had a bunch of mutating riffs he pulled out in '72-74, particularly in his solos and Other Ones; some of them seemed distinct enough to have been lost songs....
